Finally, The Wonders of the Cosmos entices its users to ponder on the idea of humanity’s nature, as it is in fact the single most important part that humans will take with them to other worlds. Hence the user-centric design that calls to empathy, compassion, and open-mindedness - qualities that the website seeks to entertain by inviting its users to join a forum of daily conversation and scientific exchange of thoughts and ardent opinions.

Content Strategy & Prototyping:
In order to achieve that immersive experience feel while cruising through the website, I organized the content into a visual hierarchy that guides the eye from one key element to another, while capturing the users attention with striking imagery meant to establish and reinforce the element of inquisitiveness. As for interactiveness, Adobe XD has made it really easy to achieve and prototype simple, yet powerful UI interactions, as portrayed by the snippet below.

Side Notes:
While most photographic assets used in the concept, as well as their descriptions are courtesy to nasa.gov, the rest of the copy (quotes excluded) have been personally written and adjusted to fit the overall visual assets. One extra special element, such as the “Earth Dancing Among the Stars” artwork (below) is a personal work of double-exposure digital art previously created as part of the Pictorial Fusion project. Not only does it blend in with the overall look and feel of the website, but it also perfectly depicts the idea of Earth being a unique jewel of our Solar System. This belief is deeply ingrained in the human DNA, and will always be an imprint that makes us who we are as a species. It will follow us wherever we go.
